DS-2878 “Boxing Glove” Lounge Chair by de Sede, Switzerland, 1978, Customizable Reissue
DS-2878 lounge chair, designed by the Swiss brand de Sede in 1978.
The chaise longue is better known as the Boxing Glove chair.
Muhammad Ali inspired the Swiss designer Ueli Berger to create the sofa.
In 2017 de Sede launched this re-edition.
The detailed boxing glove figure comes with a two-color cover, the typical folds at the edges, and a striking lacing at the glove opening, which is also the foot end of the sofa.
The DS-2878 is available in two versions, with an armrest on the left or the right.
Furthermore, de Sede offers the possibility of combining the DS-2878 with a matching punching bag made of leather.
Fully customizable solution.

In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company, and its name was de Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed, entirely made, and focused on the people who use them.
