Vittorio Nobili FURNITURE

Vittorio Nobili was an Italian designer best known for the Medea chair, one of the distinctive seating designs of 1950s Italian modernism. Produced by Fratelli Tagliabue, the Medea combined a sculpted plywood shell with a slender tubular metal frame, reflecting the period’s experimentation with industrial materials and lightweight construction. Offered in different veneers and configurations, the design received recognition at the 1955 Compasso d’Oro.
