Marcel Breuer FURNITURE

Marcel Breuer (1902–1981) was a Hungarian-born architect and designer whose work at the Bauhaus transformed twentieth-century furniture design through the pioneering use of tubular steel. Combining industrial materials with a rigorous modernist language, he created some of the period’s most influential seating designs, including the Wassily B3 armchair and the Cesca B32 chair. Produced over time by manufacturers including Thonet, Gavina and Knoll, these designs became enduring references of Bauhaus and modernist furniture.
