Ludwig Mies van der Rohe FURNITURE
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886–1969) was a German-American architect and designer whose work became fundamental to the development of twentieth-century Modernism. Associated with the Bauhaus and known for a rigorous approach to structure, proportion and materials, he applied the same architectural clarity to furniture design. His celebrated seating designs include the Barcelona chair and daybed, the Brno chair and the MR series, many of which became closely associated with Knoll. Explore Italian Design Club’s curated selection of original vintage Mies van der Rohe furniture, including seating, daybeds and collectible modernist pieces selected for their authenticity, quality and historical significance.
