Angelo Mangiarotti (1921–2011) was an Italian architect, designer and sculptor whose work combined modernist rigor with an exceptional understanding of materials, structure and construction. His furniture often explored the expressive and technical possibilities of stone, wood and industrial production, resulting in forms that are both sculptural and highly functional. Collaborations with Skipper, Poltronova, Cassina and Snaidero produced influential designs including the Eros marble tables, Cub 8 seating and the Cruscotto modular kitchen system.
