Alessandro Becchi FURNITURE
Alessandro Becchi (1946–1987) was an Italian designer whose work for Giovannetti explored flexibility, comfort and new ways of inhabiting domestic space. His best-known design, the Anfibio sofa bed, transformed from seating into a generous sleeping surface and became one of the distinctive expressions of 1970s Italian furniture design. His work also included the sculptural Toscanolla chairs and a broader series of innovative seating developed during his long collaboration with Giovannetti. Explore Italian Design Club’s curated selection of original vintage Alessandro Becchi furniture, including sofas, sofa beds and dining chairs selected for their authenticity, design quality and historical relevance.
